Der italienische Flötist Lorenzo Borndius Brondetta hat sich vor einigen Jahren die Aufgabe gestellt, mit größter Sorgfalt und philologischem Respekt, Bachs sechs Cellosuiten für Traverslöte zu adaptieren; eine Brücke zu schlagen zwischen diesen so unterschiedlichen Kompositionen und dafür zu sorgen, dass Bachs großartige Komposition auch auf der Flöte etwas von der Anmut des Originals bewahrt. Das ist ihm überzeugend gelungen, wie die vorliegende Aufnahme beweist, die viele neue Horizonte eröffnet!
