Die rumänische Komponistin Violeta Dinescu (*1953) gehört zweifellos zu den profiliertesten Komponistinnen in Europa. Seit 1982 lebt und arbeitet sie in Deutschland (u. a. von 1996-2021 als Professorin für Angewandte Kompostition an der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg). Die hier aufgenommenen Kammermusikwerke in unterschiedlichen Besetzungen umfassen den Schaffenszeitraum von 1993-2018.
