Timothy Roberts, 1953 in Hampstead im Norden Londons geboren, ist seit Jahrzehnten eine feste Größe in der Alte-Musik-Szene in Großbritannien und darüber hinaus. Er ist vor allem als Keyboarder bekannt, doch in den letzten Jahren hat das Komponieren für ihn an Bedeutung gewonnen. Es überrascht kaum, dass seine Musik die Welt des Barock und der Klassik, in der er sich bewegt, in der Regel mit einer spielerischen, aber respektvollen Wendung widerspiegelt.
