Dieses Album geht auf eine Veröffentlichung der Forsyth Brothers (Manchester) aus dem Jahr 1998 zurück, die Werke aus deren Blockflötenkatalog enthielt. Es trug damals den Titel »John and Peter’s Whistling Book«. Für diese aktuelle Version, die 2022 neu gemastert wurde, sind einige zusätzliche Stücke hinzugefügt worden. Das Album zeigt die Blockflöte in ihrer schillerndsten Form – die meiste Musik hier, obwohl sehr neu, ist wohlklingend, melodienreich, oft tänzerisch und witzig – zum Beispiel Bullards Suite, inspiriert von Lieblingsspeisen aus aller Welt. Zwei kleine Streifzüge in die Moderne bieten die großartigen Stücke von Richard Whalley und Kevin Malone.
