Zwei Sinfonien »über das Thema Natur«!
Dieser Begriff hat seine Berechtigung, und die Anführungszeichen stehen nicht für ironische Distanz: Knechts Tongemälde der Natur ist mehr als nur eine schlichte Vorwegnahme der berühmten Pastorale, des 23 Jahre später entstandenen Meisterwerks von Beethoven. Es ist aufregend, diese beiden Werke erstmals unmittelbar nebeneinander von einem Orchester mit historischen Instrumenten unter der Leitung seines Konzertmeisters Bernhard Forck zu erleben.
