Der erfolgreiche Bühnenkomponist Nicola Porpora (1686–1768) schrieb gemeinsam mit dem seinerzeit gefeierten Cellisten Giovanni Battista Costanzi (1704–1778) sechs Cellosonaten. In ihnen wurde Porporas opernerprobte, arienhafte Klangsprache auf den warmen, der menschlichen Stimme ähnlichen Ton des Cellos übertragen. Adriano Maria Fazio legt nun die erste Gesamteinspielung dieser hochinteressanten Raritäten vor. Der junge, aufstrebende Cellist wird dabei von einer multinational besetzten Continuo-Gruppe begleitet. Fazio überzeugt mit interpretativem Erfindungsreichtum und einem warmen, sanglichen Stil.
