The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Für Winds of War and Peace dirigiert Lowell Graham das National Symphonic Winds durch ein Programm mitreißender Märsche. Die Liberty Fanfare wurde anlässlich der Hundertjahrfeier der Freiheitsstatue im Jahr 1986 komponiert – einer der spektakulärsten Feierlichkeiten in der amerikanischen Geschichte.
Samuel Barbers Commando March aus dem Jahr 1943 ist seine erste Orchesterarbeit. Und Roger Nixons Festival Fanfare March wurde 1973 von der American Bandmasters Association als herausragende Komposition ausgezeichnet.
Die hochgelobten Aufnahmen von David Wilson sind für Audiophile purer Grund zur Freude. Der Chef des wohl exklusivsten Lautsprecherherstellers der Welt begann 1977 damit, Musiker und Musik, die er schätzte, selbst aufzunehmen. Immer akustisch, immer unverstärkt.
Für Winds of War and Peace nutzte er eine minimale Sennheiser-Mikrofonierung und den Wilson Ultramaster, ein stark modifiziertes Studer-Bandlaufwerk mit eigens dafür entwickelter Elektronik von John Curl. Wilsons Ziel: dem Klang und der Musik, die er aufnahm, so nah wie möglich zu kommen.
In den Jahren bis 1995 entstanden 33 Titel (von denen 27 veröffentlicht wurden), die widerspiegeln, wie Wilson selbst am liebsten live Musik hört. Das Remastering für die Hybrid-SACD aus dem Hause Analogue Productions übernahm Kevin Gray.
