Die SACD verwendet eine höhere digitale Auflösung als die Audio-CD und bietet außerdem die Möglichkeit, Mehrkanalton (Raumklang) zu speichern. Um die Musik in High-End-Qualität genießen zu können, wird ein spezieller SACD-Player benötigt. Dank Hybrid-Funktion sind die meisten in unserem Shop mit "SACD" gekennzeichneten Produkte auch auf herkömmlichen CD-Playern abspielbar. Dann allerdings unterscheidet sich der Sound nicht von einer normalen CD. Bei Abweichungen weisen wir gesondert darauf hin (Non-Hybrid).

Nicola Matteis schrieb für das vom Bürgertum geprägte Musikleben Londons eine abwechslungsreiche Musik mit Einflüssen aus Italien, Frankreich und England. Das Ensemble „Theatrum affectuum“ präsentiert die zumeist kurzen Stücke aus Matteis' „Books of Ayres“ als funkelnden, facettenreichen Kosmos: virtuos oder in
tim, derb oder elegant, intellektuell oder geerdet... Theatrum affectuum wählte die späteren Versionen der Stücke mit zweiter Oberstimme und führt sie mit Violine und Blockflöte aus, das Continuo besteht aus Cello, Laute und Cembalo bzw.
Orgel.
