Jean Morel, der lang mit der Metropolitan Opera kooperierte und in seinen über zwanzig Jahren Lehrtätigkeit an der Juilliard School zahlreiche Talente ausbildete, leitet für diese Aufnahme das Londoner Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden. Decca-Ingenieur Kenneth Wilkinson verantwortete im Jahr 1959 die Aufnahme in der Kingsway Hall. Ein seltenes, sehr begehrtes Album aus der Living-Stereo-Reihe.
