Klaviermusik macht einen großen Teil des Schaffens der rumänischen Komponistin Livia Teodorescu-Ciocanea (geb. 1959) aus, wie man es von jemandem erwarten würde, der das Instrument seit seinem vierten Lebensjahr spielt.
Dieses erste Album ihrer Musik offenbart eine Impressionistin der Neuzeit, die sensibel für Halblicht und blütenzarte Klangfarben ist - aber sie kann auch kraftvolle Energiestöße erzeugen, und ihr musikalisches Porträt von Charlie Chaplin zeugt von einem schelmischen Sinn für Humor.
