Orchesterwerke Vol.1
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

CHANDOS beginnt eine Serie mit Orchesterwerken von Leoš Janácek (1854-1928) mit drei Kompositionen aus seinem Spätwerk. In dieser Zeit führte die Liebe zur 37 Jahre jüngeren Kamila Stösslová zu einer Art zweiten Frühlings, der sich auch auf seine Schaffenskraft auswirkte und einige seiner bekanntesten Werke hervorbrachte: die Sinfonietta, das Capriccio und die Oper »Das schlaue Füchslein« (aus der Václav Talich eine Orchestersuite extrahierte). Als Solist im Capriccio fungiert kein Geringerer als Jean-Efflam Bavouzet. Mit Edward Gardner und dem Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra haben sich weitere exzellente CHANDOS-Stammkünstler diesem Projekt verschrieben.
