The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Albéniz' Suite Española ist ein populärer Zyklus von acht frühen Kompositionen des spanischen Wunderkindes. Bereits im Alter von vier Jahren gab Isaac Albéniz sein erstes Klavierkonzert, später finanzierte er mit der Musik seine Flucht aus dem Elternhaus, die ihn nach Süd- und Nordamerika sowie Europa führte. Die Suite Española schrieb er mit 26 Jahren als Hommage an bekannte Regionen und Städte seines Heimatlandes.
Die Adaption für Orchester stammt von Rafael Frühbeck De Burgos und wurde von ihm mit dem New Philharmonia Orchestra für die DECCA eingespielt. Als Aufnahmeort diente die legendäre Londoner Kingsway Hall im Juli 1967. Das Remastering der Hybrid-SACD von Analogue Productions stammt von Willem Makee.
