In seiner Klaviersuite Goyescas ließ sich der spanische Komponist Enrique Granados (1867-1916) von Gemälden Goyas inspirieren, wobei jedes Gemälde seine eigene Geschichte erzählt. Der französische Pianist Jean-François Dichamp fügt in die Goyescas-Suite mehrere Sonaten von Scarlatti und Soler ein, die zwar etwa 150 Jahre früher entstanden sind, aber den gleichen andalusischen Geist atmen.
