SACD (Super Audio CD)

The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Genießen und Staunen
Der Name Flanders Recorder Duo lässt zu Recht darauf schließen, dass das Ensemble aus dem Flanders Recorder Quartet hervorgegangen ist, das 2018 seine unglaublich erfolgreiche internationale Bühnenkarriere beendet hatte. Schon das Quartett verblüffte mit der Ausdrucksfähigkeit der »nur« vier Blockflöten. Das Duo treibt dies jetzt auf die Spitze: Wirklich nur zwei Musiker sind hier zu vernehmen, doch oft glaubt man das kaum beim Hören der Debüt-SACD. Ein Highlight ist die Weltpremiere einer bisher unbekannten Suite von Ralph Vaughan Williams, und auch die übrigen Darbietungen von Werken aus verschiedenen Epochen geben den Hörern jede Menge Gelegenheit, staunend zu genießen.
