Die 1871 erbaute Schweriner Domorgel wurde zu dem Beispiel der herausragenden Orgelbaukunst Friedrich Ladegasts, bei dem er

die Möglichkeiten des traditionellen Orgelbaus voll ausreizte.

Diesen Klängen spürt Jan Ernst hinterher, indem er auf der hier vorliegenden CD die Musik Bachs in einer an die Romantik

angelehnten Version vorstellt.

Jan Ernst ist seit 1993 Kantor am Schweriner Dom und unterrichtet an der Musikhochschule Hamburg.
