Das groß angelegte chorsymphonische Poem Die Glocken (1913) stammt aus Rachmaninoffs letzten Jahren in seiner russischen Heimat, bevor er in den Revolutionswirren 1917 emigrierte. In dieser Einspielung für DREYER GAIDO kombiniert Gabriel Feltz das Werk mit einer Orchestrierung von Cing Etudes-Tableaux, die kein Geringerer als Ottorino Respighi mit der ausdrücklichen Erlaubnis des Komponisten erstellte.
