Die Pandemie hat die Welt unwiderruflich verändert. Aber die Verzweiflung, die viele Menschen ob dieser Situation weltweit empfanden, hat sie einander auch nähergebracht, hat sie vereint in der Trauer um jene, die sie verloren haben, und in der Bewunderung und Dankbarkeit für jene, die an vorderster Front gegen den Virus kämpfen.
Die israelisch-amerikanische Cellistin Inbal Segev hat unter dem Titel »20 for 2020« ein Projekt lanciert, wofür sie 20 der heute bedeutendsten Komponistinnen und Komponisten eingeladen hat, ihre Empfindungen in herausfordernden Zeiten mit Musik zu dokumentieren. Die zunächst in mehreren Schritten digital veröffentlichten Titel erscheinen nun als Doppel-Album.
