Mit seinen Konzertreisen durch Europa trug er maßgeblich zur Popularisierung des Cellos bei. Francesco Galligioni legt als Weltersteinspielung eine Gesamtaufnahme der im Druck erschienenen Cellosonaten Lanzettis vor.
