To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. Aus dem großen Erfolg von «Brass«, der ersten CD der Blechbläser des RCO, erwuchs bei Musikern und Publikum der Wunsch nach einem würdigen Nachfolger. Nun, sieben Jahre später, folgt »Brass Too«.

Das Wortspiel des Titels verdeutlicht auch gleichzeitig die Idee hinter diesem Album: Die Werke von Schostakowitsch und Piazzolla sind ursprünglich nicht für Blechbläser komponiert, aber in diesen Arrangement klingen sie ebenso (too) wundervoll. Und auch, wenn Hindemith nicht als Komponist für Blechbläser bekannt geworden ist, hat er auch (too) für diese Instrumentenfamilie geschrieben.

Und das von Detlev Glanert, dem Hauskomponisten des RCO komponierte neue Werk zeigt, dass Blech auch (too) ganz anders klingen kann.

Dieses Album steckt voller Überraschungen.
