Backhaus-Beethoven
Dass Wilhelm Backhaus nicht erst in der Spätzeit ein großer Beethoven-Interpret war, zeigt diese Doppel-CD beim APR-Label, die sämtliche seiner Beethoven-Einspielungen vor 1939 dokumentiert. Drei der Aufnahmen wurden ursprünglich mit Werken von Bach als Füllstücke veröffentlicht. Diese sind hier ebenfalls mit berücksichtigt, da sie eine weitere interessante Seite der Interpretationskunst des Pianisten zeigen.
