Bei der zweiten SIGNUM-Produktion des von Owen Rees geleiteten, Choir of the Queen’s College war der christliche Erlösungsgedanke Hauptaugenmerk der Programmgestaltung. Dabei beziehen sich alle eingespielten Werke, darunter Kompositionen von MacMillan, Howells oder Jackson, auf die Off enbarung des Johannes mit all seinen apokalyptischen Schreckensvisionen. Als solche erweist sich auch die äußerst geschmackvolle und inspirierte Interpretation des Ensembles. Besonders eindrucksvoll sind die jüngsten Kompositionen, die auf dieser CD zu hören sind und aus der Feder von Phillip Cooke, Toby Young und Marco Galvani stammen.
