Bühnenmusiken, Arien und Tänze voll origineller Melodien verbinden die englische Tradition mit französischen und italienischen Innovationen der Zeit. Die Musiker – unterstützt vom ausgezeichneten Sopran ihres Gaststars Rachel Redmond – rekonstruieren fünf imaginäre Tableaux aus Stücken der Zeit.
