Gisle Kverndokk (*1967) ist spätestens seit seinem Musical Der Name der Rose für die Erfurter DomStufen Festspiele 2019 auch in Deutschland kein Unbekannter mehr. Der Norweger ist auch Filmmusik-Komponist und hat mehrere Orchesterwerke veröffentlicht. Das Trondheim Symphony Orchestra unter Peter Szilvay und Aage Richard Meyer stellen hier drei Orchesterwerke aus den Jahren 2010 bis 2021 vor.
