The Old Testament texts of the Lamentations of Jeremiah are used in the Roman Catholic liturgy for the Offices of Holy Week. At the twilight of the Renaissance, Lassus's settings represent the summit of the genre; the writing adheres closely to the rhetoric of these poignant words.
This title was released for the first time in 1989.
