Ole Bull: Violinkonzert (Blu-ray Audio & SACD)
The Blu-ray Audio Disc (also Pure Audio Blu-ray) is technically a normal Blu-ray Disc and can be played on any Blu-ray player. However, it does not contain any video content. The high storage capacity is used for high-resolution audio data (stereo and surround, up to 24 bit/192 kHz). It is operated either without a screen like a conventional CD or via the onscreen menu like a normal Blu-ray disc.
SACD (Super Audio CD)The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Mit seiner Musik war Ole Bull ein Pionier in der Entwicklung einer norwegischen Identität. Seine fabelhaften spielerischen Fähigkeiten und sein Charisma brachten ihm schon früh den Beinamen »der skandinavische Paganini« ein. Einige seiner schönsten Melodien wurden zu einem Teil des kulturellen Erbes Norwegens; Auf dieser Aufnahme sind sie zusammen mit seinen beiden virtuosen Violinkonzerten und der feurigen spanischen Fantasie La Verbena de San Juan zu hören. Die Konzerte und die Fantasie wurden erst vor wenigen Jahren wiederentdeckt und erklingen hier in einer Weltersteinspielung.
