Erst kürzlich von der Jury des renommierten International Classical Music Award zum »Artist of the year« gekürt (nicht zuletzt auch für seinen Debussy-Zyklus auf CHANDOS), startet der französische Pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet diesen Monat neben dem bereits angelaufenen Haydn-Zyklus ein weiteres Großprojekt beim gleichen Label. Die erste Folge der auf drei Teile angelegten Gesamteinspielung der Klaviersonaten Beethovens stellt uns Bavouzets Sicht auf dessen frühe Sonaten vor. Die beiden im Entstehen begriffenen Werkzyklen dürften ähnliches Aufsehen erregen wie sein preisgekrönter Debussy-Zyklus.
