Atemberaubende Musik

Vier CDs voller musikalischer Highlights. Engagierte und tiefgehende Interpretationen von in Form und Besetzung unterschiedlichster Bläsermusik - also das, was ich vom Consortium Classicum erwartet habe. Den Genuss schmälert auch nicht die Tatsache, dass ein Großteil der Werke in ihrer Urheberschaft fraglich sind, ein Umstand, der auch auf andere Editionen anderer Komponisten zutrifft. Besonders hervorzuhenen ist das Preisleistungsverhältnis. Super! Das Booklet ist angesichts der Vielzahl an Werken und des umzeichnenden musikhistorischen Kontextes etwas dürftig ausgefallen. Insbesondere musikhistorische Erörterungen zur Urheberschaft und zum Entstehungskontext wären interessant gewesen.

Wermutstropfen

Das Consortium Classicum spielt hier, wie man es von ihm gewohnt ist: brillant. Die Aufnahme wäre unbedingt zu empfehlen, wenn mehr der hier zu hörenden Werke unbestritten von Haydn wären: Dies trifft leider nur auf 5 der insgesamt 28 zu. (Auch die Feldparthie Hob.II:46, die den von Brahms für seine berühmten Orchestervariationen verwendeten "Chorale St. Antoni" enthält, dürfte nicht auf Haydn zurückgehen.) Dem Haydn-Liebhaber, der wirklichen Haydn will, würde ich an Stelle dieser Aufnahmen die BIS-Kassette "The Complete Early Divertimenti" empfehlen. Freude machen kann die Consortium Classicum-Einspielung aber trotzdem; sie ist auch erstaunlich günstig zu haben. Darum doch eine, wenn auch bedingte, Empfehlung.
