Die Saison 2013 / 14 ist Gustavo Dudamels fünfte Spielzeit als Chefdirigent des Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra und die zehnte seit Eröffnung der Spielstätte des Orchesters, der Walt Disney Concert Hall. Eben dort nahm Deutsche Grammophon im Frühjahr des vergangenen Jahres dieses „bemerkenswerte Werk“ (The Guardian) auf, dessen „ungeheuer kraftvolle“ Musik zum „Eindringlichsten und Leidenschaftlichsten in Adams’OEuvre“ zählt (The New Yorker).
Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Album für Liebhaber zeitgenössischer Chormusik.
