Die 1967 in Florenz geborene Künstlerin studierte Orgel und Cembalo zunächst in Italien, dann an der Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. Sie unterrichtete dann Cembalo, Orgel und Basso continuo in Frankreich und Italien und wurde als Konzertcembalistin bekannt. Ihre besondere Vorliebe gilt dem Werk Bachs. Mittlerweile hat sie mit nahezu allen großen Namen der Alte Musik-Szene zusammen gearbeitet. Für diese Aufnahme wählte sie ein Instrument von Tony Chnnery, 1997 gebaut. Es ist der Nachbau eines der großen, zweimanualigen Cembali von M. Mietke, entstanden 1702 / 1704.
