Cembalokonzerte Vol.1
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Spannende Klangerfahrung
Selbst im Bereich des barocken Standardrepertoires gibt es noch Entdeckungen zu machen. Für seine Aufnahme der Cembalokonzerte von Johann Sebastian Bach verwendet Aapo Häkkinen ein 16-Fuß-Cembalo, also ein Instrument mit einem zusätzlichen, besonders tief und kräftig klingenden Register. Obwohl Bach selbst ein solches Instrument besessen und eingesetzt hat, ist dies tatsächlich die erste (!) Aufnahme, die die Konzerte mit einem solchen Instrument in historischer Bauweise einspielt. Eine spannende Klangerfahrung, die sich übrigens auch im Italienischen Konzert BWV 971 auszahlt.
