The Blu-ray Audio Disc (also Pure Audio Blu-ray) is technically a normal Blu-ray Disc and can be played on any Blu-ray player. However, it does not contain any video content. The high storage capacity is used for high-resolution audio data (stereo and surround, up to 24 bit/192 kHz). It is operated either without a screen like a conventional CD or via the onscreen menu like a normal Blu-ray disc.

Tolle Aufnahme

Ich möchte nicht viel über die Kompositionen sprechen, nur so viel, dass es schön ist die Fantasie für Klavier, Chor und Orchester in so einer schönen Aufnahme zuhaben.
Dei Aufnahmequalität der DG ist schon auf CD super, aber hier in 24/96 ist sie einfach nur fantastisch. So viel Räumlichkeit, Dynamikumfang, und Natürlichkeit schafft eine CD mit ihren
beschränkten Mittel nicht. Ein Hoch auf die Bluray audio. Möge noch viel mehr in diesem Format erscheinen. Man braucht dann auch keinen mehrere tausend Euro teuren CD-Spieler mehr, um so schön Musik geniessen zu können.

Hervorragende Klangqualität

Habe seinerzeit die CD gekauft. Die ist gegen den Klang der Blue-ray Audio Gaslicht. Gleichgültig ob bei der Beethovensonate, bei der Chorfantasie oder beim Credo von Pärt, immerfort dasselbe Erlebnis und Staunen darüber, was in der Aufnahme an Detailreichtum drinsteckt. Es kommt dem Erlebnis einer Liveaufführung im Konzertsaal schon sehr nahe. Ich bedaure nur, dass nicht alle Neuaufnahmen nicht auch gleich im Format Blue-ray Audio erscheinen. Dann würde ich mir keine CD mehr kaufen! Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen (auch wenn die CD schon vorhanden ist)!!
