Das Projekt »Violini Di Cremona« ist auf zwei Alben verteilt.
Die Alben sind konzipiert, aufgenommen und produziert im »Sala Musica – Palazzo Cavalcabò« in Cremona im Jahr 1993. Mit diesen Aufnahmen begann eine Jahrzehnte andauernde Zusammenarbeit des großen Geigers Salvatore Accardo und Foné.
Salvatore Accardo erweckt auf »Violini Di Cremona« fünf Juwelen der historischen Cremoneser Gitarrenbaukunst zu neuem Leben und Stimme: »Carlo IX« von Andrea Amati, »Hammerle« von Niccolò Amati, »Quarestani« von Giuseppe Guarneri und 'Cremonese' von Antonio Stradivari.
Musik von Fritz Kreisler für Violine und Klavier: Maestro Salvatore Accardo wird am Klavier von der Pianistin Laura Manzini begleitet. Ausschlaggebend für die Wahl dieses Ortes war die hervorragende Akustik, die es ermöglichte, ein außergewöhnliches Ergebnis zu erzielen.
