Gestartet als einer der Lieblingsschüler des großen Ralph Vaughan Williams mit einem spätromantischen Stilmix im Fahrwasser von Sibelius und dem Stil seines Mentors, verwarf er ab Mitte der 1960er fast schlagartig alle konventionellen Kompositionsmethoden. Er widmete sich fortan fast ausschließlich der elektroakustischen Musik.
Diese Veröffentlichung fasst auf 3 CDs und einer hochgradig spannenden DVD erstmalig alle elektroakustischen Werke Lilburns zusammen. Ein Genie im Verborgenen!
