Das Instrument lockt, bietet sich an, die Hand berührt die Tasten, findet und entdeckt Klänge, Zusammenhänge, Verläufe, so dass Instrument und Spieler einander bedingen. Musik entsteht im Spiel, als Prozess, entwickelt sich aus Improvisation, aus der Suche nach neuen spieltechnischen und klanglichen Möglichkeiten. Der Weg ist das Ziel, und der Komponist hat (nach Ambrosini) die Aufgabe, „die Lava hervorzulocken und ihr Form zu geben.“
