Quite a disappointment

Normally the works on this CD would be a joy to listen too, but unfortunately too many things go wrong here. First of all the music is played too loud, with a lot of overblown energy, in which almost all detail fails to register. Secondly the music was recorded on two days in 1989, and more than half of the music sounds recessed and dull, and one needs too much volume to get some decent sound picture. Not what I expect by the engineers of Chandos. Definitively not worth your money, there are obviously better renditions of the music offered by Chandos.
