Der besondere „Stokowski-Sound“ war dabei genau an die Gegebenheiten angepasst, welche die Entwicklung der Stereo-Aufnahmetechnik zur Zeit des Maestros ermöglichte. Richard Egarr, der als Leiter der Academy of Ancient Music sonst für schnörkellosen Originalklang steht, macht hier keinen Hehl daraus, wie sehr ihm der Stokowski-Stil gefällt.
