SACD (Super Audio CD)

The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Seit der Gründung 1987 hat sich das Flanders Recorder Quartet kontinuierlich zu einem absoluten Spitzenensemble seines Fachs entwickelt. Begünstigt durch den Ersten Preis beim Musica-Antiqua-Wettbewerb des Flandern-Festivals 1990 in Brügge nahm eine äußerst erfolgreiche Karriere richtig Fahrt auf.

Für seine achte auf dem AEOLUS-Label erschienene Produktion hat sich das Blockflötenquartett einen lange gehegten Wunsch erfüllt und sich mit der renommierten niederländischen Blockflötistin Saskia Coolen zu einem Quintett erweitert.

Zu hören sind Originalwerke und Bearbeitungen aus mehr als 450 Jahren Musikgeschichte, von der Renaissance bis zur Moderne.
