Klappentext
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Xeractinol is a flavanonol, a type of flavonoid. It is a glucoside that can be found in the leaves of Paepalanthus argenteus (Eriocaulaceae). Flavanonols (with two "o"s aka 3-hydroxyflavanone or 2, 3-dihydroflavonol) are a class of flavonoids that use the 3-hydroxy-2, 3-dihydro-2-phenylchromen-4-one (IUPAC name) backbone. Paepalanthus is a genus in the flowering plant family Eriocaulaceae. This family is placed in the Poales, close to the Bromeliaceae, whose morphology this genus shares. The sole species in the genus, Paepalanthus bromelioides, is native to Cerrado, the area in which the carnivorous bromeliad Brocchinia reducta is also found.
