The album has received strong reviews, and peaked at #13 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. The album was released on CD and 12" vinyl format. The vinyl edition was limited to 1000 copies. Cephalic Carnage is an American extreme metal band formed in 1992 in Denver, Colorado. The band comprises vocalist Lenzig Leal, guitarist Steve Goldberg, drummer John Merryman and bassist Nick Schendzielos.
