Ted Lasso and Pastoral Theology, Gebunden

Klappentext

This edited collection discusses the television series Ted Lasso (2020-present) through a religious and theological lens.
Furthering conversations on the beloved Ted Lasso , Daniel J. Cameron and his collaborators locate the underlying theology in "BELIEVE" across its three current seasons. Written from a theologically Christian standpoint, this collection locates the eponymous Ted Lasso as a spiritual guide, extending the show's relevance beyond popular culture and into communities of faith. Tackling subjects such as healthy masculinities, navigating trauma, and everyday peacemaking, the authors offer more than simply a discussion of a tv series, but rather create space for reflection and spiritual growth mediated through Ted Lasso. Building on the series' models of discipleship, spiritual guidance, and community-building, the essays herein juxtapose their authors' personal journeys with those of characters from the show, exploring how to build better systems of spiritual support "the Lasso Way." Through this volume, Cameron and his collaborators invite you to become one of the Diamond Dogs, modeling the transformative power of love one relationship at a time.
