When I first looked through binoculars, I did not expect birding to turn into a hobby. It did and I am grateful for all those beautiful moments I could witness through my binoculars, learning from the variety of birds that live in North America. This book is a collection of 12 birds that I encountered during my time in Buffalo NY (USA) and that fascinated me. I know that there is so much more to learn and to explore and it feels like I barely scratched the surface. I am looking forward to discovering more birds, learning more about them and share those moments together with others. Pointing at birds in the middle of the forest, driving out in a rush to see a specific species that was just spotted or encountering a new lifer when I at least expect it.
