Saint-Denis-de-Palin is a commune in the Cher département of the Centre region of France. An area of lakes, streams and farming comprising of the village and several hamlets situated by the banks of the river Auron, some 12 miles (19 km) southeast of Bourges on the D132 road at its junction with the D106 and the D953 roads. Cher is an administrative department located in the centre of France. It is named after the Cher River. Cher is one of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution on March 4, 1790. It was created from part of the former province of Berry.
