Kent County (2006 population 31, 449) is located in east-central New Brunswick, Canada. The county features a unique blend of cultures including Mi'kmaq, Acadian and English Speaking Settlers. Some larger tourist attractions include: la dune de Bouctouche, Kouchibouguac National Park and Bonar Law Commons. New Brunswick is one of Canada's three Maritime provinces and is the only constitutionally bilingual province in the federation. The provincial capital is Fredericton. Statistics Canada estimates the provincial population in 2009 to be 750, 457; a majority are English-speaking, but there is also a large Francophone minority (33%), chiefly of Acadian origin.
