Klappentext

Reproduction of the original, first published in 1902. Early 20th-century juvenile adventure novel centered on a seaside village threatened by shipwrecks and the vital lifeboat service. Captain Boyns, convinced of the need for a lifeboat, rushes into a storm with his son Harry to rescue those in danger, while the local men struggle to launch the boat through violent waves. Shipowner John Webster, whose negligence causes disaster, undergoes a change of heart after the wreck of his ship, the Water Lily.
