He turns away from the Romans and finds his homeland again among the Bructeri tribe. The legionary Aulus Marcinus becomes the Germanic warrior Gerowulf. Filled with hatred and disappointment, searching for the truth and seeking revenge, he joins the hordes of the Cherusci chieftain Sigurd, whom the Romans call Arminius.
