The Rai Foundation is an educational initiative started in the 2002 by one of India's prominent industrialists, Dr Vinay Rai. The Foundation endeavours to improve the quality of education, both at the school and college levels in India. A private foundation, it was one of the first in India to start its own university - The Rai University. The University started with campuses in more than 20 cities, with hundreds of courses offered, divided into more than a score of colleges, each with its own presence in every campus. It claims to be the philanthropic non-profit body setup with the objective to address various socio-cultural concerns of India and its people from their web site. Currently it is having a LOI for the state of Rajasthan.
