The episode was first aired on October 13, 2008. Horatio and his team investigate two dead men that turn up in the everglades. It becomes obvious that one of the dead men, Vince Koslov, had killed the other, Andrew Brodsky, in a particularly brutal display, by biting his neck and eating it. Finding the knife that killed Vince on the scene, the team assumes that Andrew was able to inflict his punishment on Vince before he could get away, but they soon learn there was a third party present at the scene of the crime. They discover that Vince and Andrew were mixed martial arts fighters, fighting out of Ivan Sarnoff's gym. Ivan, a well known Russian Mafia boss, used the gym to recruit his members.
