In investigating the complex paths of ritual practices this study aims to understand the interrelated fields of cosmology, social order and economy of an Indian highland community.

Feeding, sharing, and devouring refer to locally distinguished ritual domains, to different types of social relationships and alimentary ritual processes. Biografie
Peter Berger, geboren 1953 in Amsterdam, lehrt und forscht seit dreißig Jahren am Institut für Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte der WU Wien. Er habilitierte sich mit einer Studie über die Finanzpolitik des Völkerbunds in Österreich in der Großen Depression der 1930er Jahre. Berger war Gastprofessor an der University of New Orleans und an der Universität Leiden in den Niederlanden.Anmerkungen:
