Klappentext
This work is part of a wider study aimed at improving knowledge of the ecology of Prioria oxyphylla, a tropical species of high commercial and cultural value. Subscribed in the context of gathering reliable information on the spatial structure and natural regeneration of Prioria oxyphylla in the Kisangani region (Yangambi and Uma forests). The methodology used was a single systematic inventory over an area of 10ha in each site, and all plants of the species concerned with Dhp ¿ 10 cm were located in relation to the X and Y axes. In terms of results, 4, 401 individual trees were inventoried at Uma, i. e. an average of 440.1 individuals per hectare, and 3, 799 individual trees at Yangambi, i. e. an average of 379.9 individuals per hectare, followed by an average density of 2.5 and 2 feet of Prioria oxyphylla at Uma and Yangambi, which present two spatial structures respectively: aggregated and random. The regenerates are present in all growth stages, with a decrease in numbers from the first height class (S1) to the second and third classes.
