Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) is a private graduate school located in Yakima, WA. The school's inaugural program grants a doctorate in osteopathic medicine (D. O.). It is the first new medical school in 60 years to open in the Northwest. The school was founded in 2005 and accepted its first class on August 11, 2008. The university will be adding a doctorate in clinical psychology, Psy-D; a master of Clinical / Counseling and Psychology, MS; a and physician assistant, M-PA over the next couple of years, with plans to add further programs over the next several years.
